Bury need a manager to lead them into League One next season. Here is an updated five potential candidates-
Keith Hill- He remains a frontrunner for the vacant position and knows the third tier well. Hill was sacked by Rochdale in March and is looking to get back into the dugout. He spent a combined eleven years during two spells at Spotland and also had a brief stint at Barnsley in between.
Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley- The management duo have been linked with Bury. The former Salford City bosses are currently in charge of National League North side Chester.
David Flitcroft- The 45-year-old, who used to be Hill’s assistant, managed Bury from 2013 to 2016 and guided them to promotion to League One in 2015. Flitcroft, who has also previously managed Barnsley and Swindon Town, parted company with Mansfield Town last month.
Derek Adams- Another available manager and an option for the Shakers, the Scotsman left Plymouth Argyle in late April after just shy of four years at Home Park. He has also managed Ross County in the past.
Simon Grayson- He is an outsider for the job. Grayson has managed the likes of Blackpool, Leeds United, Huddersfield Town, Preston North End, Sunderland and Bradford City in the past and is looking for a route back into the dugout.
