Owen Coyle has emerged as a candidate for the vacant Carlisle United job.
The League Two side are in the hunt for a replacement for Steven Pressley, who was sacked after a slow start to the season.
The likes of former Sunderland, Leeds United and Hull City striker Michael Bridges, Paul Heckingbottom, Andy Welsh and Gavin Skelton are in the running for the job.
One name that has emerged as a candidate is the experienced Owen Coyle, who is the 5/1 second favourite on SkyBet.
He has been available since his sacking by Ross County in March last year and could be interested in returning to the dugout with the Cumbrians.
Coyle, who is 53 years-old, spent his playing career with spells at Motherwell, Dunfermline Athletic and Falkirk.
He got his first managerial role at St Johnstone in 2005 and spent two years with them before dropping down the border for Burnley. Coyle guided the Clarets to promotion to the Premier League after beating Sheffield United in the Play-Off final at Wembley.
The Scotsman then left Turf Moor for rivals Bolton Wanderers in January 2010 and has since gone on to manage Wigan Athletic, Houston Dynamo, Blackburn Rovers and Ross County.
